How it was made

This loop was made with the intent to start creating art that could better fit genres of music with more syncopated rhythms than four-on-the-floor. As these shapes look like organisms swimming in an organic ether, it could look more believable to make the flow itself pulsate to the rhythm. The various shapes floating on the filaments remind me of percussions being tied together by the rules of musical composition.

I made this loop while developing Stems and Timewarping in Vizloom; these features and the art came together in visualizing genres that had been precluded to me before — like, for example, a Drum & Bass bassline.
